My findings:
My class really enjoyed this activity. Students were very respectful and mindful of each other, which was refreshing. This activity made me feel like my class really began to understand what it means to be mindful. I appreciated each individuals "I am proud" statement. Everyone's statement was unique, and it futher showed how being different is great. My class was very appreciative to hear their classmates statements. I was also impressed to see the positive feedback they gave each other. After the activity, my class said they felt closer to their peers, and got to know they better. I additionally thought I got to know my class better. This is a fantastic strategy to help build inclusion in the classroom, to share positive feelings and to encourgae acceptance. I would definatly do this activity to start off a new school year with a new class.
